Cooking Guidelines Recipe Suggestion 500-700g large, boneless portions of meat (mutton, chicken, beef) 300g ghee/cooking oil 1 onion, finely sliced To taste: fresh sliced ginger, green chillies, coriander leaves, lemon juice and fried onions. 1 Laziza Haleem mix • Wash and soak the grains and pulses in water for 1-2 hours. • Heat half the ghee/cooking oil in a large pan, and stir fry the meat and Haleem spices for 3-4 minutes. Add the soaked grains and pulses and 12-15 glasses of water, cover and cook on a low heat until tender, stirring occasionally. • Remove half the cooked Haleem from the pan, blend coarsely and then stir back in the pan. • Heat the remaining ghee and fry the onions until golden brown. Add to the Haleem and cook for 5 minutes on a low heat. Serve the Haleem sprinkled with Chaat Masala and garnished with your choice of chopped green coriander, green chillies, ginger slices, fried onion and fresh lemon wedges.
