| Cooking Guidelines | Flattened rice (also called beaten rice) is a dehusked rice which is flattened into dry flakes. Powa (Flaked Rice) Rice grains are pressed flat to increase water absorption and reduce cooking time. Powa cooks in minutes and is fantastic sweet or savoury. These flakes of rice swell when added to liquid, whether hot or cold, as they absorb water, milk or any other liquids. The thicknesses of these flakes vary between almost translucently thin (the more expensive varieties) to nearly four times thicker than a normal rice grain. Unmalted Adjunct Grains, Produced from medium-grain rice, Rice Flakes will help you brew light, clean and crisp beers. For preparation guidelines refer to packaging. |
