Storage | Keep the lychee fresh in the refrigerator. During refrigeration the pink-red exterior may start to darken in colour, but the taste is not affected. The frozen lychee should be refrigerated immediately upon arrival and consumed within 3 days. |
Cooking Guidelines | Lychee are a small rounded fruit native to China. They have sweet white floral flavoured flesh which easily detaches from the large central seed. They usually have a pink-red bumpy exterior when ripe but some varieties are still green when ready to eat. Wash first. The lychee are ready to eat. Peel the shell and eat the white flesh. The seeds are not eaten. The frozen peeled lychee are ready to eat. |
