Storage | To store fresh mint place the mint in a plastic bag, not sealing all the way so that air can circulate. Do not wrap tightly; Trapped moisture will cause the herbs to mold quickly. Trim the ends and place in a glass filled with about 1” of water. Cover with a loose fitting bag and refrigerate. |
Cooking Guidelines | Mint is a member of the Lamiaceae family, consisting of about 15 to 20 species, such as spearmint and peppermint, all of which are perfectly fine to eat raw or cooked. Mint leaves are a flavoured herb that people use, dried or fresh in many dishes and infusions. Wash mint before use and then proceed to pick leaves off the stalk and chop the mint as required with a sharp knife. |
