| Storage | Clean, sound, off-white cream coloured grains of long grain rice, grown in Greece. The rice is free from off or foreign odours both in uncooked as well as cooked. It produces a cooked rice of clean, brownish appearance. Grain length varies between 6-8mm. The ratio length/width is greater than 3mm. |
| Cooking Guidelines | Per 500gm brown rice add 1,000ml water put the rice in a saucepan and pour over the water. Bring to a rolling boil and then reduce the heat to a gentle simmer. Cook for approx. 40 mins then turn off the heat. Quickly cover with a lid and leave tightly covered for another 5-10 mins to absorb any remaining water. |
