| Cooking Guidelines | cooking instructions wash basmati rice thoroughly before cooking soak rice for 15 - 30 minutes in a medium heavy bottomed pan. add water. the amount of water should be in either of these ratios. 1 to 1.3 if you want firm rice 1 to 1.5 if you prefer a more tender grain. bring the rice to boil put a lid over the pan, leaving room for steam to escape easily & reduce the heat to low setting. cook for 15 minutes. then completely cover the pan with the lid, sealing the pan, leave to sit for a futher 10 to 15 minutes. enjoy your perfectly cooked rice. |
